Hand Carved Wood Art and Greeting Cards for Sale

Touch~Of~Color KNOWtes offers whimsical wood art for sale, wood carvings created  in relief style in old wood spools that become ornaments, jewelry, and bottle stoppers. My custom carved spools can be designed to show a family history, an employment position, a child’s favorite past time, celebrate the birth of a new child or wedding, or meet a favorite theme of art collectors such as Santas, snow people, a patriotic face, or favorite animals.

Prices for spools start at $28.00 for miniature silk spools in the form of hanging ornaments embellished with ribbon, buttons, beads, and/or bells, to $75.00 for a custom designed ornament.    

My wearable art is in the form of pins made from basswood which are painted and antiqued or from butternut which I usually leave unpainted to show its beautiful wood grain. The pins are available in many designs such as a smiling bunny face, a series of different Santa faces, ladybugs, snow people, an angel, a gingerbread boy or girl, cherries, a strawberry, a leprechaun, and others. Prices range from $18.00 to $30.00 depending on the detail work.

Spool necklaces and earrings are made from small or miniature spools and are available in limited quantities. The earrings are $49.00 and are simple Santa faces. Necklaces start at $30.00 for one “Santa face” spool. 

Other carvings available are hand carved basswood spoons with theme handles. Former handle designs include a stack of jack-o-lanterns with a witch on top; apples in various eaten stages; a rabbit handle; flowers; contemporary patterns of twists and knobs; Santa faces, and themes requested by customers such as one for a dairy owner.

Touch~Of~Color KNOWtes greeting cards are packaged eight cards and envelopes per packet all one style. They list at $6.00 per package. Mixed packets are available on request. To date, I have 25 different pen and ink style greeting cards. The flat stationery is packaged 10 designed sheets, 5 plain second sheets and 10 envelopes for $5.50.
